Shape: This picture is able to show geometric shape. In this picture, it is a positive shape. You are also able to see the depth in this picture.
Space: This picture does. good job of showing space. You are able to see the inside and outside space of the circles.
Emphasis: In this picture, it is able to show emphasis very well. Well you look at the picture, your eyes tend to go right to the the pink rose.
Pattern: I chose this photo because I thought it did a good job of showing pattern. It is able to show the audience one type of pattern.
Activity: For this activity, we had to shoot 12 digital photographs to explore the elements of principles of art. We also had to present our photos with our definitions of the elements. Then we chose the best 5 photographs and posted them to our blog labeling the element and subject matter.
Extension Activity: I would assign each student an element and principle of art. In class, they would work on making a poster/presentation for their element. They will show the class what it is and the definition of the element. The whole class will share their projects and will be put up around the classroom.
